Yes, that's a flat tire. A flat tire with only 3,000 miles on it. In case you can't read the name on the side-wall it's a Carlyle. I can't really recommend them.

We were a long way from any town, so he changed it himself. Luckily there was a shoulder on this part of the highway. In some areas the trees are right next to the road with no room at all for trouble. We were also lucky that the flat happened on the right side, not the traffic side. I have to say it was a lovely place to have a tire problem if you really feel the need to. It took John 45 minutes to fix it; the first 15 minutes being devoted to cussing.
