Spring break has hit us here.
The beach we all considered private has been inundated.
The RV resort is full of families with young children and teens. Most of the people in our area are interested in sunning, fishing, sand castles etc etc. One gorgeous young couple is playing volleyball every time I visit the beach.
.
Ten miles down the shore a different world exists.
Candy and I drove down the beach this morning at 10 AM. Going any later is risking a traffic jam of epic proportions.
The morning fog is just beginning to lift, and those people with manageable hangovers are beginning to arrive. The dually pickup with the back up lights on is hopelessly stuck in the sand.
In a few more hours the beach will be full of college students fiercely determined to have a good time. I'm sure high school kids who convinced their parents this was a good idea make up a part of the crowd.
.
.
Surely these young people are having the time of their lives, but if school is too tough there's another option.
.
.
The Marines and The Army offer other career paths.
.
I will say the young ladies were paying considerable attention to the military, and the military weren't missing much of the coeds either.
.
.
Finally, at the end of the beach.........
Notice the youngsters gathered at the front of the condom tent.
Notice how they disappeared when I arrived with a camera.
The woman at the back of the truck - handing out the free condoms - called out to me and Candy "Come back again!"
We couldn't help but wonder why or what for.
