Pomme De Terre Rendezvous

 It was a dreary weekend and snow was still lurking in the shady places, but the Rendezvous happened on schedule.

Boy scouts in costume were part of the show.


We are riding on a wagon filled with hay bales being pulled by a tractor.

There are demonstrations of black powder weapons, live music, 18th century gardening and moon shining.

To my disappointment we missed the moonshiners, but there's always next year!

Lots of vendors and crafts

I'm not sure what a pirate flag has to do with 18th century mid-Missouri, but check out all those raccoon tails. If you buy a raccoon tail do you tie it to the antenna of your 1930's era hot rod?

Many vendors dress in period costumes. The women are shoeless.

No audience but a lot of enthusiasm. 

I'm sure this truck belongs to the above singer. His guitar case and the truck had the same bumper stickers. The horse trailer is a mystery since no horses were in the area. 

Notice in the above photo a pair of Crocs on the trailer. Also notice that most of the people are wearing jackets, sweat shirts, etc.

Here the little cutie has retrieved her shoes. Not put 'em on, just picked 'em up.
